The European branch network will continue to be at the heart of Triodos Bank’s efforts to grow sustainable banking and its impact. It will continue to actively promote and extend the idea of the conscious use of money to benefit people and the environment through the banking system.
In 2013 all Triodos Bank’s branches expect to continue to develop further.
In the Netherlands, Triodos Bank plans to deliver strong growth in lending using the growing amount of savings entrusted to it; develop a more compelling proposition for children and its younger customers, and introduce a new mortgage proposition encouraging private home owners to improve their homes’ environmental performance.
The Spanish branch will improve its products and services to meet their customer’s financial needs, to become their first bank, and fulfill the mission to increase the conscious use of money. Fundación Triodos (Triodos Foundation) will play an important role in developing the Triodos brand as well as an opinion leader in the use and function of donation money.
In Belgium, the branch will focus on further expanding both deposits and lending, and is assessing the development of sustainable mortgages for distribution in 2013.
In the UK, Triodos Bank will develop a personal current account for launch within the next two years, and will continue to focus on growing its lending activity to meet the increasing needs of the sectors in which it works.
The German branch will continue to grow in 2013, with the lending team expanding to create and support the development of a balanced mix of renewable energy, organic food and social business finance.
