Co-worker report

Triodos Bank is a European bank, that’s locally embedded. As a result, Human Resources policies can differ across the countries where Triodos Bank operates because of differences in the individual offices’ stage of development, size, culture and local legislation.

This report covers social policy that applies to the whole bank. The annual co-worker report concerns everybody employed by Triodos Bank. Co-workers of the joint venture Triodos MeesPierson are not included in the figures reported here. The figures for The Netherlands are split by business units.

The values-based bank

Triodos Bank’s mission is to make money work for positive social, environmental and cultural change. Triodos Bank itself is a values-based bank, active in a number of sustainable sectors which reflect this mission and which allow co-workers to apply their expertise, and develop and fulfil their professional potential. They do this in a context where adding value for society is at the heart of everything they do.

Triodos Bank wants banking to be as it should be, connecting savers with entrepreneurs who need money to finance their initiatives. It is a professional and expert intermediary that has its own management and risk-assessment function.

Triodos Bank’s co-workers work in a professional environment, and have the opportunity to have a positive impact on society. At Triodos Bank the goal is always to promote sustainability, positive development and quality of life. Every co-worker contributes to Triodos Bank’s mission with his or her specific talents, knowledge and experience.

This mission is primarily reflected in its financial activities, but also in a pleasant working environment, in sustainable buildings, and through the details of the furniture and art in its offices.
